The Certified Sustainable Finance Specialist (CSF–S) programme is a CPD UK–accredited professional qualification designed to equip finance professionals, sustainability officers, and ESG practitioners with the advanced knowledge and applied skills required to navigate the global transformation toward a sustainable and low-carbon economy. In a rapidly changing world shaped by climate risks, environmental regulation, and responsible investment, financial institutions and corporations are increasingly required to integrate Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles into their decision-making. This programme provides a comprehensive framework for understanding and applying sustainable finance tools, including green bonds, ESG investing, carbon markets, climate risk disclosure, and EU Taxonomy alignment. Participants will explore the intersection between financial systems and sustainability, guided by international frameworks such as the IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards (IFRS S1 and S2), EU ESRS, UNFCCC mechanisms, and ISO environmental standards. Through real-world case studies and scenario-based exercises, learners will develop the ability to assess investment risks and opportunities in line with sustainable development goals (SDGs) and the principles of green growth.
